What you can ask

Five things, built in

You type a question. It answers — from the same audited data behind our API. Nothing to set up per question.

Check any stock

Any paid plan
Is Apple halal?
via Akinda

Yes — AAPL passes all three AAOIFI screens. Debt and interest income are both well inside the limits, and almost none of its revenue comes from non-permissible sources.

Screen AAPL, TSLA, JPM, MSFT and KO.
via Akinda

Three pass. JPM fails — it's a conventional bank. KO is borderline and worth a look.

Personal Standard and up
Why is KO borderline?
via Akinda

Its debt sits just under the 30% limit and non-compliant revenue is close to the 5% line. Neither breaches, but both are near.

Work out purification

Personal Standard and up
I got a $310 dividend from KO. How much should I purify?
via Akinda

About $12.40 — the same share of the dividend as the company's non-permissible revenue.

via Akinda

Every figure behind the verdict — each ratio in percent and dollars, and where the revenue actually comes from.

Wording is illustrative — your assistant phrases things its own way. The underlying verdicts and figures are the real ones, from each company's most recent audited filings. All five are read-only: they look things up and explain them, and can never trade, move money or change your account.

How it works

Three steps from connect to verdict

No new dashboard to learn — your AI assistant becomes the interface.

02Add Akinda in your AI appIn Claude, open Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector, give it a name, and paste one address. Nothing else to fill in.
03Sign in with GoogleUse the Google account your subscription is on. There's no key to copy or store, and Akinda never sees your password.

How we compare

Screening depth and an AI connector

Halal screening apps answer the question. Market-data feeds serve the developers. Akinda does both, and puts it inside your assistant.

“Varies” means the capability exists on some products in that category but is not standard across them. Comparison describes product categories, not any specific named provider.

Common questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No. Connecting takes three clicks and one paste inside your AI app's settings. After that you just type questions in plain English — there is nothing to install, script, or maintain.

Which AI assistants does this work with?

Our step-by-step guide covers Claude, both the desktop app and claude.ai in the browser. The connector uses the open Model Context Protocol, so assistants that support custom MCP connectors can use it the same way.

Is my subscription shared with the AI company?

No. You sign in with Google to link your own Akinda account, and the questions you ask run against your own plan and limits. Akinda never sees your Google password.

Can the AI change anything in my account?

No. The connector is read-only. It can look up screening data and return answers — it cannot place trades, move money, or alter your account.

Does this replace a scholar?

No. Akinda gives informational screening based on reported financial data, aligned to AAOIFI methodology. It is not a fatwa and does not replace a qualified scholar.

What does it cost to use?

Nothing extra — the connector is included with every paid plan. Answers come out of the request allowance you already have: each lookup your assistant makes counts as one request, and a single question can involve more than one lookup if it asks for several things at once.

Put halal screening inside your AI

Every paid plan includes the connector. Pick a plan, connect once, and start asking.

Informational screening based on reported financial data. Not a fatwa; does not replace a qualified scholar. Values are shown in each company's native currency and are never FX-converted.
